For A Bad Morning

For A Bad Morning

Your eyes
wake up
to a new
day
every
morning,
and it's
up to
you
to make
it so,
for a
good
day
does
not
fly
on the
wings
of
glorious
fate
nor
rest
atop
the
highest
peak
of
situation,
Oh did you
know that
people
laugh
in prison,
or that
African
children
still
make
time
to
dance
while
being
persecuted
and also
hunted
like
elephants?
Did you know
that there
are opulent,
silk stocking
folks out
there,
that sit
in leather,
gold
trimmed
chairs,
that
want to
splatter
their
brains
all over
their
walls
and their
Indian Rugs?
Every
day
is
blessing,
embrace
each day
like a
lover
who's
silhouette
is walking
off into
the
purple,
orange
sunset
forever,
never to
be seen
again,
Oh treat
each day
like
a
lover,
and
kiss
the
grass,
take a
long
hot
shower
like
you
will
never
see
water
again,
eat breakfast
like you'll never
see another
meal,
dwell on
some
good
happening
in the
world,
I promise
there is
at least
two.
